Yogananta · Your infinite yoga journey
Yoga Instructor · National Athlete · Yoga Therapist in Training
“Yoga is not about touching your toes. It is about what you learn on the way down.”
Introduction
I’m Akshata — a Goa-based yoga instructor and aspiring yoga therapist with over a decade of competitive and teaching experience. My journey began at the age of eleven, competing at National Yoga Championships across India, and has evolved into a deeper pursuit of yoga as a science of healing and transformation.
Currently pursuing my MSc in Yoga Therapy at S-VYASA University, Bangalore — one of India’s most respected institutions for yogic sciences — I bring athletic precision and therapeutic understanding to every class.
I teach across four leading schools in Goa, coach competitive yoga athletes — my students have won gold at State level — serve as a State-Level Judge for Yogasana Championships, and lead retreats and beach sessions across India.
Whether you’re a beginner finding your breath, an athlete refining your form, or someone seeking yoga for healing — my classes meet you exactly where you are.

What students say
I joined Akshata's online sessions to lose weight and found much more — my back pain is gone, I sleep better, and I actually look forward to the mat. She adapts every session to how my body feels that day.
Our team's rooftop pranayama morning was the most talked-about wellness day we've run. Akshata made twenty stressed engineers slow down and breathe — no small feat. Calm, professional, brilliant.
Sunday beach sessions changed my relationship with yoga. Practising with the sea, guided by someone who competed at national level yet teaches with such patience — it's the best hour of my week.

Journal
Reflections on breath, practice and healing — written between classes, championships and the sea.

You don’t need to touch your toes to begin. You need to notice one inhale — this is where every practice I teach starts.
